custom jewelry | the laura necklace.

I have been D-Y-I-N-G to share this necklace since, oh about July. From numerous failed attempts to give this necklace to it's appropriate owner, Laura, to numerous months passing - this bauble finally made it to her. And I hope she loves this little beauty as much as I do.

Laura and I grew up in the same city but didn't really know each other until several months ago. (You may remember the Molly Dress, inspired by her cousin). We swapped connections. Hair, makeup and the like in Charleston on my end. Stellar friends, connections, and jobs in Charlotte on her end. She may very well be one of the most genuinely and joyfully infectious people in the whole wide world. She will sit with you for hours and ask questions that she truly desires to know the answers to - all the while discovering your heart more and more. You just feel invited and safe to share. Oh, and don't try to outdo her on yogurt toppings or dessert baking - she will crush it every time.

Here's to happy hearts and full bellies.
To pieces and people that you just can't forget.
And frankly just never want to.

custom jewelry | e+s wedding.

Designing custom pieces for brides may be one of my more favorite tasks. I love being able to sit with them and figure out their style and hopes for their maids' embellishments for the big day. It is often a reflection of their own style, as well as a cohesive element to tie them together once and for all! Elizabeth's vision for her side of the wedding party included grays, pale pinks and peaches. We landed on hand wire-wrapped gold earrings with gray freshwater coin pearls. Take a peek:

wedding design | e+s.

Elizabeth + Stewart.
Two of my most favorite people.
So much surrounds their story and I am so thankful to have shared in the moments leading up to their marriage. I love them. And weddings. And all things creative. So naturally I was more than thrilled to help make so many of Elizabeth's ideas surrounding her wedding a reality. From the painted signs to the poms to the burlap cake topper and banners. I just have to say that is was incredible to see how many people stepped in to offer their gifts and time to love on Elizabeth and Stewart on this day - and I am certain way beyond as well.

As Seen On | Jennifer Crook Photography.

Several days ago, I opened my inbox with an email to the link to the Jennifer Crook Photography blog. My sweet friend Lauren let her co-worker borrow my Turquoise Wooden Bib Necklace for probably the most adorable pictures ever.
Loved seeing how this necklace added such a fun pop of color.

custom jewelry | the kathryn necklace.

The Kathryn Necklace.

Fun friends + lots of love + surprise birthday parties = The Kathryn Necklace.

The beauty below was a custom necklace sought after by several friends celebrating the birthday of a one dear friend. I love that these namesake necklaces have become something that mean much more. Pieces that (hopefully) capture the qualities in women that are to be celebrated. Characteristics that make them so definitely them.

I feel like a broken record and you may wonder how one person can have so many favorite things - but this gem is my current favorite. Every time I design one of these necklaces, it usually hops to the top of my list, I think about keeping it for myself for about 17 seconds, and then I box it up. Reactions make the giving up part worth it.

Happy Birthday Kathryn!

custom dress | the molly dress.

You may remember a little intro to the Molly Dress back in May. Beautifully textured fabric, cap sleeves, low back - this dress remains one of my most favorite that I have designed. Molly donned it for her cousin's wedding at Lowdes Grove in Charleston. I'll say - she has the dream body for a designer and she makes pretty much anything look amazing!

You can ooh and ahh endlessly over Laura's fabulous bridal portraits over on the Lauren Jackson Photography website. And stalk that blog for pictures of Laura + Colby's wedding.

jewelry | claire necklace.

This past weekend we had such a fun time celebrating Claire and her birthday. Full of friends, good food, costume parties (can't go wrong with a Hunger Games theme), and time on beautiful Lake James. I couldn't wait to give Claire her very own namesake necklace, made with some assistance from my sweet friend Mary Laird.

The Claire Necklace is an essential staple. That one piece that so perfectly complements your day-to-day ensembles but also the one you want around for even the most anticipated occasions. Really one that you want to wear at any and all times.
That's Claire: Completer. Connected. Connector.
Claire is that link that so perfectly brings together so many things and people. Everything about her is intentional and in a way that seems so effortless. She loves in a big way- is the wife you want to be, the mother you want to take notes from, and the friend you feel like you've always known. You'll want to just dish your heart to her because you know she truly cares and wants to sit with you in your stuff - and she will. She is wise, speaks truth, and makes a mean mojito. Really I can't imagine a time that you wouldn't want Claire by your side. And yes, I want to be like her when I grow up.

Happy Birthday Claire!
