I moved to Charleston, South Carolina two
years ago after college to be near the ocean and experience something
new. While spending a summer as an intern with a national wedding
magazine in Rhode Island in 2008 engaging with cultures, people, and
lifestyles completely distinct from the South, I knew I wanted to go and
do and interact with people in all walks/regions of life. The culinary,
historical, and cultural exposure I’ve encountered in Charleston have
greatly affected and influenced my design philosophy and aesthetic. I recently relocated to the Queen City, Charlotte, where entirely new inspiration is yet to be discovered.
I
most frequently dream in bold colors, sparkles, and custom creations.
Design makes my heart beat just a little faster. And now I spend most of
my time designing and constructing dresses – from pattern making to
sewing to seeing the finish garment, as well as custom jewelry.
