custom jewelry | the kathryn necklace.

The Kathryn Necklace.

Fun friends + lots of love + surprise birthday parties = The Kathryn Necklace.

The beauty below was a custom necklace sought after by several friends celebrating the birthday of a one dear friend. I love that these namesake necklaces have become something that mean much more. Pieces that (hopefully) capture the qualities in women that are to be celebrated. Characteristics that make them so definitely them.

I feel like a broken record and you may wonder how one person can have so many favorite things - but this gem is my current favorite. Every time I design one of these necklaces, it usually hops to the top of my list, I think about keeping it for myself for about 17 seconds, and then I box it up. Reactions make the giving up part worth it.

Happy Birthday Kathryn!

jewelry | claire necklace.

This past weekend we had such a fun time celebrating Claire and her birthday. Full of friends, good food, costume parties (can't go wrong with a Hunger Games theme), and time on beautiful Lake James. I couldn't wait to give Claire her very own namesake necklace, made with some assistance from my sweet friend Mary Laird.

The Claire Necklace is an essential staple. That one piece that so perfectly complements your day-to-day ensembles but also the one you want around for even the most anticipated occasions. Really one that you want to wear at any and all times.
That's Claire: Completer. Connected. Connector.
Claire is that link that so perfectly brings together so many things and people. Everything about her is intentional and in a way that seems so effortless. She loves in a big way- is the wife you want to be, the mother you want to take notes from, and the friend you feel like you've always known. You'll want to just dish your heart to her because you know she truly cares and wants to sit with you in your stuff - and she will. She is wise, speaks truth, and makes a mean mojito. Really I can't imagine a time that you wouldn't want Claire by your side. And yes, I want to be like her when I grow up.

Happy Birthday Claire!

jewelry | mary laird necklace.

Let me introduce you to the Mary Laird necklace. She's petite and dainty yet packs a punch of color, sass, and boldness. Just like the sweet, sweet friend whose birthday she was for. They both will make your life so much brighter.
Mary Laird is a pursuer - of people, of truth, of life. She feels from the heart and you know she's on your side through struggle and the most fun and potentially-questionable times you will ever know. She pushes you to consider the important things and reminds you to be "sweet to yourself", something that is so hard for me to do. She's real. And makes you feel comfortable to be the same. Oh and laughing is not an option around ML - so prepare yourself for the most fun ever.

jewelry | chassity necklace.

Have you ever been inspired by someone you've never even met? Prime example is the coral + mint little combo below.
Chassity of Look Linger Love is the woman behind this statement piece. She mentioned her fave colors for the spring and with a little knowledge of her incredible style and presence in Charleston, this piece was born. It's structured and bold, yet it's subtle shades complement any light summer ensemble. The look is classy and refined, with an element of sass. Everyone that meets her, loves her. She's laid back, yet the life of the party.

Make the Chassity Necklace your very own. And do yourself a favor, you know you want to meet her!

jewelry | waverly necklace.

You saw a little teaser, now here is the Waverly necklace
Waverly is the friend you feel like you've known forever, even when you just meet her for the first time. She makes you feel completely comfortable, conversation is easy and deep and you want to share your heart with her. And she cares, really really cares. About you and your hurt and your joys. She makes you laugh belly laughs and genuinely gets a kick out of funny things. She's a giver, in all senses of the word. She gives fully of herself and her cooking. Throw a hand towel over her shoulder and she will whip up the most delicious quiche and cinnamon chip french toast you will ever taste. Honest.

The Waverly necklace is one to throw on for a little extra cheer or acts as a staple for all your basics. It's a bold statement. You can get your very own here.

the best part is: "you can wear it again".

Earrings seem to be the go-to these days. I've been sending them out left and right - in beautiful shades for the spring and summer. They also make the perfect gift for bridesmaids - and tis the season for weddings and accompanying parties. You know how brides always tell you the best part about that $300 dress you are buying is that you can "wear it again" - mainly because they get a little cra-cra during that planning season and may actually think that's true about the mermaid-esque, satin, shimmery blue tea-length frock they want you and 17 other maids to wear? Well, when I say that about these earrings, I totally mean it. You actually CAN wear these again. As a gift to one of my very best friends, I made all of her bridesmaids earrings last July and those are still at the top of my favorites list.

feature | kristin necklace.

You may have seen the Kristin Necklace over on O.M.Gee yesterday, if not you should most certainly check it out. And then you can head here to snag your very own!

For now, I will leave you with a little sneak peek of the treasures that Waverly and I picked up this afternoon for her custom necklace. I love the combination of bright colors and natural stones - a union that is sure to produce a fresh and unexpected strand... or two!

jewelry | on a string.

Last weekend I spent a rainy Saturday afternoon roaming around the 18,000 Queen streets here and ventured to a local bead store, On a String. This quaint shop is owned by two sisters, one of whom shares not only my name but also my Alma mater. Go Vols. Finding a bead store that offers quality supplies at a reasonable price, with a major selection has been a challenge after moving from Knoxville. You know what I mean, either they charge $40 for an inch of chain or the beads look like something that should only pair with hemp - I'm not impressed. On a String offers a killer selection, I'm dying to design a necklace with their resin chains! After feeling inspired by my sweet friend Kristin, who would kill for anything turquoise or orange, this little beaut was born:
I think I know someone who should have this around her neck...

jewelry | towne & reese.

I packed up my things, lots and lots of things, and made the move from the Lowcountry to the Queen City, busying myself with a stellar company that makes "neccessories". You heard right: neccessories - necessary accessories for all the babes and toddlers in your life, or lack of in my life. Within a day the women who make this company go round introduced me to the local jewelry line Towne & Reese. Here are a few of my very own neccessories I may be adding to my collection of baubles.

 1. camryn earring | 2. ella necklace | 3. elena ring | 4. raygen earring | 5. molly ring
