tabletop seasoning | salt + pepper.

While perusing Pottery Barn a few weeks ago for a wedding gift, I came across this little guy.
It's a turtle salt cellar. Closed he appears to be your normal sterling turtle, only to open his shell to discover that this tail is actually a spoon! So it got me thinking. I love traditions and the details that make something extra special. Why shouldn't you switch out your salt and pepper shakers at brunch, dinner, holidays? How wonderful would it be to receive a new set of s + p shakers annually? Not in a hoarders kind of way but in that rare-find kind of way.

I would be more than pleased to start with any of these:

(Andybody else sensing a coastal theme here?)

How lovely is this bold tablescape with indiviudal salt + pepper cellars?
